Welcome to my first attempt at a Second Life blog. I am thinking it will be a mix of fashion, (I love fashion, taking pics, and showing off what I am wearing, and telling others where I get the great stuff, so it works all around) place reviews, event commentary, shout outs (to people, places and things that have randomly impressed me) and the occasional random rant or odd story of my life in this wonderful virtual world.
Let me begin with this.
I was a bit antsy this am, needed a dress-me-up fix, so I started scouting through my inventory, checking folders and trying things on. After much mucking about, I ended up with this scant but cute ensemble. I love mixing and matching, and my best ‘saved’ outfits always end up a blend of things from many of my favourite shops and designers.
I am a texture hound. I love the wrinkles in this top, and the bit of shadow under the edge. Shadow and highlight matter. I don’t like spraypainted clothes, no matter how pretty they look from a distance.
The hair is one of my new favourites, actually a men’s (unisex then) from MADesigns, Akami, in Swedish blonde.
The skin has been my main one since it came out late last year, MMS London Suntan, now LeLutka. Tattoos are Demise (worn II) by Aitui.
Eyes are custom-made, by Kitten Krakauer, of Kitten Designs. She does great work, and will make you happy, regardless of how fussy you are or how long it takes. Eyelashes, Bedroom by Cake.
The necklace has been my absolute favourite for over a year, if you see me inworld, there is a good chance I will be wearing it. Ganesha, from Earthstones. The red and black bangles are also Earthstones, “Gimme Those Wood Bangles” new release.
Earrings, Golden Skull, from Zip Designs -found on random search for skull earrings of course. Wristlet, Flight Compass Wristlet, from Indy and Co, Indyra Originals.
Wrapped Tee from Style Starts Here. Patchwork Skirt from Canimal, Stockings, Torn Stripe Faded, from *Sheer*.
Miss Arch Boots come with 6 different coloured slouch sock tops. Wearing “Autumn”. From PixelFashion.
I give credit to all the other fashion bloggers, I can appreciate how much effort goes into including all the slurls. And tagging. And setting up blog roll.. (still to come, along with a better setup, and widgets, and..stuff. )
Thanks for reading, please feel free to leave ideas on blog improvement and comments, I appreciate them.
Isle.
Great Post, Isle! Fantastic look. I’m loving the ripped nylons with the patchwork skirt…I think I have some shopping to do!
